What is Business Coaching?
Business coaching is about building on your personal strengths to improve your performance - for the benefit both of yourself and your organization. It's about enhancing your self-awareness and developing your "presence" as a leader. In business coaching we focus on your personal values and goals and explore how to align these with organisational objectives. It's a win-win, boosting your own capability and capacity, whilst expanding your organisation's productivity and reputation.
Facing challenges at work?
In your role, do you sometimes...
- Struggle to deliver results on-time?
- Find you are forever fighting internal battles?
- Have difficulty motivating your team?
- Face the challenge of balancing work and career success with your quest for a fulfilling personal life?
If you answered "YES" to even one of these questions, you've had a taste of the multitude of conflicting demands that leaders, at any level, routinely face in modern organisations.
And yet the buzz of achievement - of growing into the role, of a job well done, of delivering real results, of seeing your people grow - can make leadership a profoundly rewarding task.
Staying focused...
Leadership, at any level in an organisation, is all about you. It's about how you step up as your biggest, most capable self in any given situation, and the kind of presence you project towards those around you. This applies whether you are the CEO or the youngest new recruit.
Success means finding inner balance, working from your own authentic centre, so you have the resilience to rise above the "stuff that happens" day-by-day and keep working towards your goals.
Few great leaders, if any, come into the world fully formed and ready to handle these complex environments. Increasingly, individuals and organisations are turning to business coaching as a proven and effective means of accelerating the process.
How can I help you?
I am a professional coach with long experience as a business manager, from new start-ups to multi-national corporations. I've worked in numerous disciplines - technical, operations, services support, commercial and general management - and I've experienced the highs and the lows, from rapidly growing a new-start to cost-cutting and redundancy. I know from personal experience that coaching can bring tangible benefits to individuals in supervisory positions at any level within an organisation.

How it works...
The starting point in business coaching is where you are now. We begin with your own inner resources – your natural sources of energy - which you can tap into, amplify and project.
- What fires your motivation and gives you the dynamism to get things done?
- What strengths do you bring to bear through your unique personal qualities and temperament?
- What is your authentic leadership style?
- How do you create impact with those around you?
- What do you need to work on and develop?
Business coaching will move you through your own personal development journey. From the beginning we will focus on specific actions, and success targets, which will enable you to achieve the maximum possible impact in your work situation.
Working with your organisation
You may come to business coaching through your own personal initiative, or as part of a programme supported by your employer. When your organisation is the sponsor, we will sit-down together with your sponsor at the beginning of the process to create a 3-way agreement on objectives and progress reporting. This is to ensure we understand and honour the strategic goals of the organisation in supporting the coaching process. The day-to-day coaching activities will however remain confidential between you and your coach.
Contact me for an introductory coaching session or a further discussion. This gives us the opportunity to discuss your requirements and to decide whether you wish to continue on the coaching path. This "sample session" is completely free and involves no further obligation.
